As righteousness prevails, Vixen loses the fight. Yi-meng is transported to the human world at the help of Suzie, who died at last.

Hsu Hsia choreographs the abundant action, as he had for both Five Superfighters and Drunken Master. The result is both sublime (for its kung-fu) and engagingly ridiculous.

Jimmy Wang Yu, the star of such martial arts hits like One-Armed Swordsman, plays Kwei Wu who happens upon a kidnapping with his wife Kan Lien-chu (Chin Ping) at the Red Lotus Temple. Kan sends Kwei to go for reinforcements while she stays to fight the kidnappers. Fortunately, the mysterious Scarlet Maid (Ivy Ling Po) is surreptitiously helping her.

Mary a member of the revolution party, had been investigating the loss of the Funds. Eventually she found out the in-charge behind the curtain of this robbery was her most respected godfather. Could she bring Chin in front of the law and give back justice? Would Big Tiger and Little Tiger be able to sort out their conflicting identities? Could Big Tiger and Mary be together again?

Daredevils, The (1979) Director: Chang Cheh Cast: Lo Meng, Chiang Sheng, Kuo Chue, Sun Chien, Lu Feng Genre: Martial Arts Synopsis Whenever director Chang Cheh teamed up with Five Venoms, film plots were probably decided by flipping a coin - which of the fab five will play the good or bad guys, who lives or dies and which ones will do the fight. The Daredevils was just another example of Shaw Brothers' sure fire formula to success: Venoms + Chang Cheh = maniacal frenzy x infinity. Of note, the only venom to make it in Hollywood was Kuo Chue, who choreographed the French film Brotherhood Of The Wolf and Michelle Yeoh's The Touch.

But before The Big Boss and New Fist Of Fury, Lo Wei was acting, writing, and directing at Shaw Studios. This, however, was his very last Shaw Brothers film - the fabulous tale of a frostbitten swordswoman out to get her parents' murderers. An audience can only marvel at Li Ching's talent as she struggles to cure her hypothermia in time for the final "snow-down."
